About

Deidra Lee, Ph.D., began teaching Focused Inquiry in Fall 2022. Deidra comes to Virginia Commonwealth University from Virginia State University in Petersburg, Virginia.

Most recently, she served VSU as one of two university-wide Professional Writing Tutors in the University’sWriting/e-Portfolio Studio (WEPS) and taught graduate-level research courses for its M.A. program in Media Management. Prior to her work with the WEPS and the Department of Mass Communications, she taught Composition courses to first-year students and Technical Communication courses to mathematics and engineering students. Deidra has earned a B.A. in English from Virginia State University, a M.A. in English with an emphasis in Professional Writing from Old Dominion University and a Ph.D. in Media, Art and Text from Virginia Commonwealth University.
