About

Professor Galligan joined the department of Focused Inquiry in 2007. Before joining the faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University, he was visiting professor of theatre at Colby Sawyer College and at Bucknell University. Prof. G has also worked as a professional actor, director, voice coach and designer, having won national recognition for his work.

His interdisciplinary research, publication, and teaching interests include adult education, transformative learning theory, critical theory, educational psychology, communication studies, drama therapy and its application to working with children diagnosed with autism, performance studies, the scholarship of teaching & learning, faculty development, higher education leadership, complexity, and chaos theory.
