About
Blayne Harcey joined Focused Inquiry in fall 2024 as a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow. He holds a doctorate in Religious Studies from Arizona State University. His research interests include material culture, place-making, pilgrimage, and cultural heritage development in South and South East Asia. His dissertation explores the manufacture of the Buddha's birthplace at Lumbini, in the southern Terai region of Nepal. Blayne has traveled and conducted research abroad in Nepal, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, and Indonesia.
