About

Mark Meier currently serves as experiential learning coordinator for University College in addition to teaching in Focused Inquiry. He emphasizes service learning and social emotional learning in his pedagogy, drawing on his experience coordinating Science of Happiness for several years. Prior to joining Virginia Commonwealth University, he taught in various settings, from university to elementary and high school, with subjects ranging from sociology to physics. He is a veteran of Teach for America; occasional freelance writer, editor and photographer; and member of the Authors Guild.
